Jitu Modi, MD, FAAP
Jitu Modi is a Regional Medical Director for Merck. Dr. Modi is a board-certified pediatrician with over 20 years of clinical leadership in primary care and immunizations in the Department of Defense. He most recently served as Director of Health Services at the United State Naval Academy. Dr. Modi earned 2 Bronze Stars while serving as a front-line Active-Duty Battalion Surgeon in Operation Iraqi Freedom. In addition, he served as a principal investigator on numerous research studies involving influenza, adenovirus and COVID. He has published articles on the use of Lean Six Sigma in healthcare. Dr. Modi completed his pediatric residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.

We will do a deep dive into location as a social determinant of health. It turns out that where you live does impact cancer screening and prevention through vaccination in the United States.
